As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team.

Location: Nationwide (with 60% travel)

Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager specializing in IVD/Clinical Pathology and Genetics, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our client base. This position requires an individual with a proven track record in selling IVD services, excellent networking abilities, and experience in tender management, particularly within the NHS, public, and private healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a challenger sales mindset, be a relentless sales hunter, and demonstrate agility with entrepreneurial thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve IVD and Genetic sales targets, in alignment with company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the NHS, public, and private healthcare providers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing networks and actively prospecting for new clients.
• Manage the end-to-end tender process, from identification of opportunities to submission and negotiation.
• Collaborate closely with Operations and international colleagues to ensure the delivery of competitive value propositions to clients.
• Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in selling IVD services, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong network of contacts within the NHS, public, and private healthcare sectors.
• Experience in tender management and contract negotiation.
• Challenger sales mindset with a proactive and results-driven approach.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively (approximately 60% of the time) and meet clients face-to-face nationwide.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and drive innovation.
