To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Environmental Science Team. SOCOTEC's Environmental Science team provides extensive laboratory testing to numerous marketplaces using industry standard accredited analytical procedures combined with an internet-based leading trend analysis software package. Our accredited laboratories provide a complete analytical package to a wide range of industries. We're now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team.

Your main objective will be to maintain and grow the Environmental Science client base in a number of key marketplaces, whilst ensuring the services offered continue to be relevant and to the required highest of standards.

You will

• Be responsible for implementing a structured prospecting programme to identify high quality sales opportunities nationally and in agreed areas internationally.
• Develop and generate profitable revenue from relevant industry sources.
• Convert incoming leads through sources such as referral, website or telephone.
• Development and deliver a sales plan based on prospects discovered.

• Previous experience of a sales role in similar industry
• The ability to develop and implement strategies and tactics to ensure that opportunities are converted into profitable orders.
• The ability to prepare sales proposals, presentations and tender documentation.
