ABOUT CPI

CPI is an analysis and advisory organization with deep expertise in finance and policy. Our mission is to help governments, businesses, and financial institutions drive economic growth while addressing climate change. CPI has six offices around the world in Brazil, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

CPI is known as a leader in tracking sustainable investment trends, identifying innovative business models, and supporting the solutions that can drive a transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy. We are unique in our focus on finance, our ability to get the right people to the table, and our analytical rigour.

ABOUT CCFLA

CPI also host the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance (CCFLA), which is the only multi-level and multi-stakeholder coalition aimed at closing the investment gap for urban subnational climate projects and infrastructure worldwide. CCFLA was launched at the United Nations Secretary General's Climate Summit in September 2014 and renewed at the United Nations Secretary General's Climate Summit in September 2019, when the Secretariat was handed over to CPI.

Today, CCFLA has 86 Members committed to deploying finance for city-level climate action at scale by 2030. Its members represent many of the world's largest city and subnational networks (C40, ICLEI, UCLG, GCOM, among others), major public and private financial institutions (World Bank, AFD, KFW, among others), governments, and international organizations.

CCFLA engages its members in knowledge, collaboration, and advocacy activities aiming to help close the urban climate finance gap. More specifically:

  • Knowledge: CCFLA produces practical knowledge products that can help Members advance solutions to close the urban climate finance gap.
  • Collaboration: CCFLA fosters connections and cooperation among Members engaged in scaling investments in urban climate infrastructure.
  • Advocacy: CCFLA uses its expertise to inform international discussions and amplify messages from our members on the main climate forums.

ABOUT THE ROLE
