We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the Halldale Group, part of Montgomery Group. Our central London, dog-friendly offices are close to the bustle of Oxford Street and Marylebone High Street, with private access to Manchester Square Gardens. Hybrid working is offered with a minimum of four days in the office (Monday to Thursday). Core hours are 9.00am-5.00pm; flexibility outside these hours will be required to meet business needs.

The Role

We are seeking a capable and driven Business Development Manager to support the continued commercial growth of Halldale's portfolio of international conferences, exhibitions and media products.

You will be responsible for selling exhibition space, sponsorship packages and advertising solutions to both existing and prospective clients across EMEA and APAC. This is a consultative B2B sales role requiring strong relationship management, commercial focus and personal accountability.

Working closely with Marketing, Editorial and Operations, you will contribute directly to the ongoing success and development of our events and media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell exhibition space, sponsorship opportunities and advertising solutions via telephone, video and face-to-face meetings.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through to negotiation, contracting and payment.
  • Develop new business through proactive outreach and qualified inbound leads.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within HubSpot CRM.
  • Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling across the Halldale portfolio.
  • Attend Halldale events and relevant international industry events to represent the business and meet clients.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure alignment between sales activity and event delivery.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within events, conferences, exhibitions, media or a related sector.
  • Performance-driven, with a clear focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, confident engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
  • A positive, professional team player with a proactive approach.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems; HubSpot experience is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
