Job Description

Experience-Essential

  • Field based Sales Experience and / or in practice dispensing experience

Experience preferable

  • Managing a sales region
  • Industry experience working with ophthalmic lenses
  • Dispensing experience and or dispensing qualifications
  • Technical experience in manufacturing

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities/Main Tasks

Gaining New Doors

  • Achieve and over achieve agreed sales targets in value within specified area
  • Achieve and over achieve agreed Active Door and Product Mix expectations

Technical Competencies

  • Educate and train all levels of customers' employees within account base with the outcome of improving their product mix and overall sales by:
    • Demonstrating features and Benefits of all listed Hoya products
    • Providing technical and optical support to customers
    • Delivering generic sales skills and techniques training
  • Make relevant suggestions and contribute to the development of training and sales materials

Practical Sales

  • Provide excellent customer service to the account base through regular calls, follow up and ongoing contact to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare specific sales objectives for every sales call and execute these plans using company sales processes

Planning, Organising and Closing the Loop

  • Understand, analyse and self-manage based on company objectives and own performance data
  • Organise time and territory management to achieve set targets through effective journey planning
  • Operate within agreed cost budgets for entertainment, lens budget and expenses
  • Execute joint marketing/local promotions that have been formally agreed to drive Hoya's sales.
  • Organise incentives and targets for sales growth with specific accounts in-line with Marketing and Sales Support agreements via Business Cases

Health, Safety and Environment

  • Ensure company vehicle is checked regularly for roadworthiness and that all faults are corrected in good time and without personal risk.
  • Drive the company vehicle with due regard to pedestrians and other road users and in accordance to the Highway Code.
  • Ensure individual compliance with the company "Rules and regulations" through the adoption of Health, safety, emergency response and environmental best practice

Personal Development

  • Proactive development of own product, optical & Sales knowledge
  • Provide feedback on the status of callage objectives, outcomes and next steps for all sales visits via the on-line record card system.
  • Complete all essential administration documents and ensure their return in the time specified

Managing Self

Ensure company vehicle and all company equipment is well organised and in good, clean working order and always maintain a high level of smart professional appearance

Customer Relationship Management

  • Organise customer visits to Wrexham in coordination with relevant parties
