About the role.
We're looking for a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to generate and close new business across our PR and Marketing Services division.
This role sits within a central growth team and carries direct responsibility for originating, progressing and converting net new revenue across our four brands: Mediapoint, Hydrogen, Sticky and PA Media Assignments.
You'll focus on opening doors with new clients, shaping opportunities from first conversation through to signed agreement, and bringing together the right expertise across the division to deliver compelling, integrated solutions. This is a front-line new business role, combining creative thinking with commercial focus.

What you'll be doing.
Generating new opportunities
- Identify and research potential clients aligned to target markets and growth sectors.
- Proactively originate new opportunities through structured outbound activity including LinkedIn, email, networking and events.
- Own the end-to-end new business process from first contact through to signed agreement.
- Build and maintain a robust new business pipeline with sufficient coverage to meet agreed targets, refining your approach to maximise efficiency and impact.
Building relationships and closing deals
- Develop and execute outbound campaigns and attend industry events to connect with new prospects.
- Build trusted relationships with senior decision makers and commercial stakeholders.
- Lead client conversations to understand needs, shape opportunity scope and position the most relevant solutions.
- Coordinate internal teams across brands to develop high quality, insight-led proposals.
- Lead the commercial aspects of pitches and negotiations, retaining ownership of the client relationship and close.
Managing pipeline and performance
- Maintain accurate and timely pipeline data within Salesforce.
- Forecast new business revenue in partnership with the Head of Growth.
- Be accountable for agreed new business targets, pipeline value and conversion rates.
- Use performance data to refine outreach approaches and improve win rates over time.
You should apply if...
- You have proven experience in business development or new business sales within a marketing, media, SaaS or agency environment.
- You are comfortable prospecting, opening doors and creating demand with new clients.
- You are commercially confident and able to lead senior level sales conversations.
- You enjoy working across multiple teams to bring together the right solution for the client.
- You are data literate and disciplined in using CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
It would also be great if you:
- Have experience selling integrated or multi-service propositions.
- Bring an existing network within marketing, communications or media.
- Enjoy shaping insight led proposals that solve real client problems.
