As a Business Development Manager you will be working within a team helping to achieve sales targets, acquire new business/customers, build and maintain strong relationships with key clients/ contractors, identify business opportunities and negotiate new deals, stay informed on industry trends and provide market feedback, conduct regular meetings and produce monthly sales reports, drive product and sales training among distribution channels.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Compiling and analyzing sales figures, reporting back to senior management teams.
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors in the industry.
- Attending network and promotional events to develop and maintain contacts.
- Understanding customer needs and effectively communicating how products or services can satisfy these needs.
- Devising new and original strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets.
About You
Desirable Qualifications [& Professional Membership(s)]:
- 3 + years' experience in business development or sales.
- Full UK driving license.
Desirable Knowledge & Experience:
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Resilient, results-driven, and competitive with a winning attitude.
- Industry experience or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- 3 + years' experience in business development or sales.
- Strong experience working with sales targets and quotas.

- Experience understating market trends and competitors, dealing with supplier preferences, retailers, and wholesalers.
