The role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager for Global Partnerships and Zoo 55
to support the SVP, Business Development in identifying, evaluating and executing where necessary on critical new growth opportunities in sales and digital.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for monitoring the market landscape, delivering actionable data-led insights, and supporting specific strategic projects to drive revenue growth for the business.
Working under the brief of the SVP, Business Development, this role will include developing board presentations, strategy decks, all-hands/town-hall updates for the team, sales collateral & brand pitches, annual/half-year reports, and the Global Partnerships 5-year plan. They will be highly curious with an analytical mindset, a concise storyteller, adept at developing high impact presentations and an excellent communicator.

1. Monitoring and presentation of

2. Financial Analysis across multiple sources (Salesforce, Tableau, Rightline)
- Deal values
- Sales profiles
- Client opportunities
3. Data & Insights
- Briefing Insights on Sales & Zoo 55 business requirements
- Translating insights into actionable strategy
Business Development Programmes
1. Content Sales
- Supporting EVPs with strategic deal renewals (eg: Agatha Christie, Strategic output/volume deals)
- Bespoke analysis on specific projects (eg: Catalogue growth, new genre opportunities, non-English language content)
- Strategic bridge between Sales and Digital, evaluating trade-offs and windowing.
2. Brand Licensing
- Sizing, evaluating and proposition development of new opportunities (eShop, BFP, VPP)
3. Zoo 55
- Develop organic strategies for Zoo55 that align with business goals, target audience segmentation, and brand positioning
- Support non-organic growth plans, including M&A evaluation and other corporate development opportunities
- Programme Management of key projects (eg: M&E sales integration, AI, Data and Tracking)
- Framework for UK label relations and IP/3rd party partners including financial reporting
- Special Projects - evaluating and quick, test and learn programme
- Conduct in-depth digital market research to identify emerging trends, competitor analysis, and potential opportunities across various media channels.
- Monitor and analyze performance data using analytics tools to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
Leadership/Exec/Board Papers
- Board Papers (narrative and substance): Zoo 55, ITV Studios/GP
- Support GP & Zoo 55 5 Year Plan
- Framework & co-ordination of Budget, HY and Quarterly updates
- Ad hoc projects that deliver growth to the business
Other responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate new growth opportunities in sales and digital within the global partnership and Zoo 55 landscape.
- Analyze competitive landscapes and emerging technology trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Translate market data into actionable insights to support the SVP, Business Development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic business development plans aligned with global partnership and Zoo 55 objectives.
- Support the evaluation of potential partnerships and assess their feasibility and ROI.
- Contribute to the development of the Global Partnerships 5-year plan.
- Utilize data analytics tools to extract and interpret relevant market and performance data.
- Develop clear and concise reports, including annual and half-year reports, to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- Create data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Develop high-impact presentations for executive audiences, including board presentations and strategy decks.
- Create compelling sales collateral, brand pitches, and content for all-hands/town-hall meetings.
- Effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Support the management of strategic projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Solid experience in business development, strategic planning, or related fields.
- Proven experience in market analysis, competitive research, and data-driven insights.
- Experience in supporting the development of strategic plans and presentation for senior management.
- Experience with developing sales collateral and brand pitches.
- Experience with financial reporting.
- Experience contributing to long term strategic plans.
- Experience working with digital sales and marketing initiatives is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data visualization tools is a plus.
- Experience working within global media distribution is highly desirable.
