Sustainability at Bruntwood

Who we're looking for:

You don't have to be from a property background but we're keen for you to be interested in the sector, sharing our passion for sustainability and building vibrant communities through our assets.

This role isn't about quick wins and relentless focus on KPIs. It's that fine balance of being driven and loving the feeling of a win/sale, but with the care and compassion of doing the right thing - building relationships and buying into what we're trying to achieve collectively as an organisation.

In return you'll get an excellent ever evolving benefits package (some listed below) and tangible career development.

Core experience we're looking for:

  • A proven background in B2B business development capacity, with the ability to manage both short and long term pipelines.
  • Experience of working with other internal departments effectively, for example marketing, achieving success as a team as well as individually.
  • Someone who enjoys developing relationships, networking and attending events
  • We're looking for someone who is engaging, self-motivated and trustworthy. You'll have the ability to work autonomously and drive your own pipeline once up to speed - with the support of the Associate Director.

Job purpose:

You'll be responsible for unearthing new opportunities in conjunction with our existing agency, broker & traditional marketing channels. You will work with the commercial & marketing teams to obtain a current and in-depth understanding of the moving priorities, our product development, Bruntwood SciTech USPs & the activity of our competitors.

What you'll be doing:

  • Proactively research and identify new customers, making direct contact with target companies, both through warm and cold approaches.
  • Working alongside our commercial team to identify prospecting opportunities and to devise and implement targeted campaigns to win new business.
  • Building and leveraging your personal network to develop relationships at all levels with professional introducers & clients to enable successful introduction for new business
  • Managing relationships with Key Partners to ensure appropriate coverage within the local business community, across marketing and prospect referrals
  • Regularly attend appropriate meetings, conveying a professional image of the company across defined contacts and partners, so that mutually beneficial relationships are established.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a sales plan for new client acquisition at individual and team level.
  • Support the delivery of our Innovation Growth and Community strategy where appropriate and relevant.
  • Support customer growth internally with Business Development and Sales consultancy and connections to maximise business growth potential.

We really believe that if you're brilliant to work with, you deserve brilliant things in return:

  • 28 days holiday plus you get your Birthday off work - and if that's not enough you can also buy & sell holidays too
  • 24 hours a year volunteer time - there are endless opportunities for you to get involved in supporting the causes that matter most to you
  • Sabbatical of up to 12 months so you can take a career break after five years with us
  • Free Healthcare cash plan for all colleagues, so you can claim back medical expenses like optical, dentist & physiotherapy. We also offer free private healthcare cover on an opt in basis too
  • Life assurance cover for all colleagues
  • Up to 8% matched pension scheme
  • Discounts & cashback at leading retailers
  • Enhanced maternity / shared parental leave - 26 weeks fully paid leave
  • Interest free loans to pursue your passions and apply for up to £2000 towards learning a new skill

In addition to what to expect within the role and your benefits, it's good to know that you'll be working for a business that gives back - The Oglesby Charitable Trust has donated more than £30m since it started out in 2001. Supporting charities across Arts and Culture, Education, Environment, Medical Research and Social & Health Inequality.
