GBP 38,000 - GBP 44,000 base + commission (first year estimated OTE GBP 43-50k)
Hours: 37.5/week

You'd be joining a team of over 230, based across our London, Manchester and New York offices and working with over 750 arts organisations in the UK and North America.
The role
The Business Development Manager is an integral member of the UK Business Development team, helping us grow our business in the UK and Ireland by carefully qualifying prospects, pitching our Solution effectively to a broad range of organisations, and helping the team sign new clients that are a great fit for our product and service.
They will use their extensive product knowledge to determine how best we can serve any given organisation and effectively influence stakeholders to convince them of the value that a partnership with Spektrix will bring to their organisations. They'll bring excellent communication skills to the table, a passion for the positive impact that technology can have on the world, and a keen interest in the arts, all of which shines through in everything they do.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will work closely with all other members of the business development team and also collaborate regularly across departments, particularly with the Implementation, Ecosystem, and Client Success Teams.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensuring that inbound inquiries you pick up or that are assigned to you are fielded promptly and that prospects are either qualified with our Solution or disqualified.
- Ensuring high quality demonstrations of the Spektrix platform to prospect organisations, as assigned.
- Ensuring we put our best effort forward to sign a new client, where they've been qualified as a great fit for us.
- Ensuring high quality and on-time coordination and submission of tenders on which you lead.
- Ensuring new clients are handed over smoothly to implementation, setting them up for success in the long term.
- Ensuring all sales activity that you conduct (incl. prospect communications, insights, contact details and contractual arrangements) is diligently recorded in our prospect management database.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with other members of the team, where you're not leading a sales process, by demoing the system, writing tender responses, joining meetings as required.
- Support our lead generation efforts in the UK by conducting prospect outreach, carefully prioritising this activity based on the strategic direction set by the Head of Business Development and working to open conversations, build relationships, and ultimately bring opportunities into our pipeline.
- Field and qualify new prospects for the UK market, while effectively and consistently implementing the Lead Management Framework as it relates to UK Sales
- Contribute to the health of our Hubspot CRM system as relating to UK prospects.
- Support the Business Development and Product teams by consistently feeding back any product related gaps that arise in prospect conversations and demos.
- Support the Business Development team to maintain accurate sales collateral, liaising with Marketing & Communications, Implementation, CIT and other internal teams as required.
- Represent Spektrix at industry events as required, promoting Spektrix with prospects, clients and partners.
- Support the business in identifying risks to UK growth by keeping abreast of and feeding back any industry trends, competitor and prospect intel.

Working from home
We aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to working setups and lots of our team work from home on a regular basis. This means we generally work with a "remote first" approach even when we are in the office.
We'll provide reasonable support and all the hardware you need to get started, but we do require that you have the following already in place for a good home working set up:
- A quiet working space at home where you can consistently take video calls without interruptions
- An internet connection that supports your participation in video calls and access to our systems and service.
Travelling into your local office (commuting) is at your own expense with a stipend available, any travel for business (other than commuting) will be covered by Spektrix.
