Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager/Commercial Sales Manager to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in pharmacy, such as a pharmacist, or someone with extensive experience in the NHS/Pharma industry. The successful applicant will leverage their expertise to drive business growth and forge strong relationships within the healthcare sector. This position involves client-facing responsibilities, travel to various locations, and occasional visits to our hubs in Leighton Buzzard or Birmingham.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and increase sales within the NHS/Pharma sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and NHS contacts.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the client base.
- Conduct face-to-face sales presentations at client locations, showcasing services tailored to their needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of patient services.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through a proactive, strategic approach.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct client meetings and presentations to showcase services and solutions tailored for healthcare providers.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create impactful sales materials and campaigns targeting the NHS/Pharma sector.
- Utilize CRM tools to track, manage, and report on sales activities effectively.
- Travel regularly to client locations for meetings, with occasional visits to company hubs in Leighton Buzzard or Birmingham for team collaboration.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development or commercial sales within the healthcare sector.
- Background in pharmacy (e.g., pharmacist) or strong knowledge of pharmacy operations is highly desirable but not essential.
- Proven track record of selling to the NHS/Pharma industry.
- Client-facing experience with the flexibility to travel to various locations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
- Knowledge of patient delivery services or healthcare logistics is a plus.
