About Abatable
Abatable's mission is to enable corporate climate action by building the infrastructure for businesses and investors to navigate, access and support credible climate solutions delivering long-lasting positive environmental and social impact. The team is achieving this by backing innovative, high-quality carbon projects alongside leveraging a product-led approach to scaleable solutions.

About the role
You will play a central role in Abatable's growth, helping corporates to effectively navigate, access, and finance high-integrity climate solutions, thereby fostering enduring positive effects on the environment and society at large. You will be an expert on Abatable's procurement and market intelligence services focused on identifying new business opportunities, qualifying their needs, developing strategies and driving opportunities to closure.
What you'll be doing:
- Drive deals through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial discovery through demos, proposals and to final closing, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service in each stage.
- Consistently achieve your quarterly sales targets and KPIs
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and potential leads and develop custom solutions to tackle their specific challenges.
- Work closely with the Knowledge and Data team to gain insights offer valuable advice to potential clients.
- Work with the Marketing team to deploy focused outbound sales campaigns built around the needs of the carbon project developers we partner with.
- Representing Abatable at events connecting with industry leaders.
- Working as a team through collaborating on deals and sharing learnings to constantly raise the bar
Who we're looking for
- Sales Expertise: An established Business Development Manager with 5+ years of B2B sales experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong preference for experience in the voluntary carbon markets, with an understanding of topics such as pricing, supply & demand, quality and policy.
- Negotiation skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrated by a consistent ability to close complex deals and exceed sales targets.
- Problem Solver: Deep empathy for customer challenges, with a proactive approach to resolving them and motivating others to collaborate on solutions.
- Self-Starter: Takes initiative and thrives in early-stage, fast-growing startup environments.
- High integrity: Committed to doing what's right, even when it's not the easiest route.
