Your tasks
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential customers and emerging market trends within the defence and security sectors. Understand competitive landscape and identify strategic opportunities for differentiation.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve sales targets. Align sales strategies with overall business objectives and market demands.
- Lead Generation and Relationship Management: Identify, engage, and establish relationships with key stakeholders in defence primes, government bodies, and military organizations. Develop deep understanding of customer needs and build trust-based relationships to facilitate long-term partnerships.
- Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations tailored to customer requirements. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and conditions with customers to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of solutions and customer satisfaction. Coordinate and lead bid teams to develop high-quality proposals for tenders and RFPs.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing of deals. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.

Your qualifications
- Education:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or relevant experience Experience:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the defence, government, or military sectors.
- Track record of successfully selling technology products or solutions to high-profile customers in these sectors.
- Experience with government procurement processes and familiarity with relevant regulations and standards. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of defence and government market dynamics and procurement cycles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office Suite. Other Requirements:
- Security clearance or eligibility for such clearance will be required.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as needed.
