Business Development Manager - Private Luxury Events

Chancery Lane, City of London

Reporting to: Senior Buyer Relations Manager

Hybrid (minimum of 3 days in London Office)

Role Type: Full Time

Salary: c.£30k plus commission, OTE £45K

We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the Buyer Relations team here at Worldwide Events, the company behind Private Luxury, Tfest and Amour.

The role

We have an opportunity for an exceptional, highly motivated sales individual to join us in pushing our world class events that bit further.

This is a proactive delegate sales role requiring personable sales tactics. The role entails all aspects of business development for markets worldwide; it will be focusing on recruiting buyers to attend our Private Luxury, TFest and Amour events. Prior knowledge of the luxury travel and hospitality industry would be a significant advantage

As well as business development, this role involves regular international travel at our events, attendance of industry trade shows and the possibility of occasional face-to-face sales trips.

Additionally, you'll:

  • Reach and exceed personal buyer recruitment targets every month
  • Manage the full recruitment process from prospecting to confirmed attendance of buyers
  • Nurture long-lasting relationships with clients and develop a thorough understanding of their business
  • Keeping up with industry trends to advise on strategies and tactical development
  • Attending the events to further develop relationships with your clients and assist with onsite event management

Due to the nature of the events industry, you may occasionally be required to work outside of hours to meet deadlines.

About you

To be considered as a Business Development Manager, you will need:

  • Results-driven performer with a proven track record of achieving within a sales role
  • Positive attitude and hunger to succeed in sales
  • Strength and confidence in selling as well as in person presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with good time-management
  • Experience using a CRM and Office 365
  • Good people skills
  • Additional language skills are an advantage
