Main purpose of job:

To become a supply chain partner with customers from the Target Industry in, leading to the generation of business in both recycling of raw material solvents and product sales opportunities or services through the management of all commercial activities within the agreed industry sector(s), with a special focus on the chemical processes that these customers produce.

To establish direct and or indirect relationships with key decision makers ensuring that all revenue, margin and volume targets are achieved in line with the company strategy.

To evaluate the agreed industry sector(s) and identify sustained areas of added-value through innovation, technical or future investment.

To be key member of the Business development team to sales within the UK

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Determine, follow, close and account manage the opportunity and develop the appropriate method to achieve a significant position in the defined industry sector(s)
  • Further define the Tradebe product or service offering that best satisfies the needs in terms of quality, price and delivery within the agreed sector(s). This will almost invariably also include proposal of new processes, products and/or investment on Tradebe Life Sciences sites for the provision of services to the customers
  • Internal communication of all relevant market information within Tradebe Life Sciences
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
  • Manage a portfolio of selected Key Accounts and identification of other potential customers within the selected segment being active commercially. Define the commercial action plan in accordance with Head of Business Development Manager and Commercial Director.
  • Develop a continued prospection to keep an active commercial pipeline
  • Establish in coordination with Head of Business Development Manager pricing to meet the revenue and profitability targets in line with the company strategy
  • Set prices within the market and communicate any changes within the agreed industry sector(s)
  • Ensure that knowledge is constantly up to date with potential tenders, competitor actions and client activity
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events as required
  • Be an expert within the sector in UK. This includes understanding the customer needs, their processes, their chemistry and the general market trends within the industry (consolidation, main players, winners / losers, etc)
  • Manage daily interaction with Front office and customers, organizing logistics, day to day customer needs, emergency plans, back-up for plant failures and additional streams from customers served
  • Ongoing promotion of all Tradebe services ensuring that all identified opportunities outside of the designated industry sector(s) are maximised through the relevant sales & commercial functions
  • Provide a monthly report in respect of the designated industry sector(s) and follow up on the operations with the site managers and Head of Business Development Manager.
  • Home based but with extensive National Travel

Personal background/experience required:

  • Chemical Industry experience desired, interaction technically or operationally within the industry is desirable
  • A Proven & successful track record at management level in a commercial environment, preferably within the target segment
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Target Segment relevant discipline
  • Commercial/Sales, Operations or Engineering background
  • Account management
  • Sales communication skills
