Opportunity

In the last 12 months, OQC has achieved the world's first integration of a quantum computer into a colocation data centre and launched the world's first enterprise-ready quantum computing platform. As we continue to expand our reach and solidify our market presence, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to identify and build commercial opportunities and manage customer relationships to continue our commercial growth. This role is vital for maintaining and expanding our market share and driving revenue growth.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager at OQC, you will be a key player in identifying, fostering and managing commercial opportunities. You will:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and new business in collaboration with the commercial & marketing and product teams.
  • Identify and lead market opportunities and tender responses, working closely with commercial leads and the tech teams.
  • Manage commercial account relationships, developing and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships and ensuring positive customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Identifying opportunities for customers to expand their usage of our products, thereby driving customer retention and growth.
  • Work closely with customer success managers to develop resources and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, and ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product development
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs or feedback in conjunction with the product team.

Skills + Experience

  • 3-5 years in a business development role within a high-tech environment, including competitive tender and grant application management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers at all organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and align them with product offerings to drive success
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technical, finance and product development teams
  • A strong understanding of the quantum computing industry and its technical aspects is desirable but not essential
  • Experience using HubSpot and/or Salesforce would be beneficial
