About The Role

30 - 37 hours per week - flexible for the right candidate

Term time + 2 weeks

£24,939 - £28,955 per annum for hours and weeks stated

We are looking for a Catering Manager to be based at Brixham College (secondary school, 1,100 pupils) to manage our in-house catering operation (Thinking Food). The Catering Manager will oversee the preparation of meals to ensure a high standard of food provision is achieved. Pupil voice will be a key success metric and we are looking for a Catering Manager to drive uptake.

The Catering Manager will be responsible for the management and supervision of kitchen staff to deliver on key targets. They will also ensure that the kitchen is fully compliant within parameters of food safety and school food standards.

This is a Monday to Friday role and we are looking for someone with experience in managing similar size operations and have had exposure to managing budgets and are financially astute.

About Us

Thinking Food at Brixham College operates across three serving stations: The Hut, The Shack and The Canteen. The Hut serves a variety of pizza and pasta dishes daily, while The Shack specialises in 'Grab 'n' Go' and 'Light Bites' and The Canteen offers main meals.

Students have a huge range of meals and snacks to choose from, including vegan and vegetarian options. Main meals range from British classics like 'Yorkshire pudding wraps' and 'Proper Cornish sausage rolls', to more exotic options such as 'Katsu Chicken Curry' and 'Halloumi and Red Pepper Burgers'.
