DESCRIPTION
Amazon is innovating in the Operations and Logistics space, and seeking a dynamic and analytical Commercial Strategy Lead, Tech Business Development, to drive strategic initiatives for our Core Sales team in the UK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing commercial strategy, building scalable mechanisms for business growth, and supporting the UK Core Sales leadership. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong B2B sales experience, define new-business strategies, and translate strategic vision into actionable plans. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact the growth of Amazon's Core Sales business in the UK, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Operations, Business Operations, Product and Tech, to drive business success. This role is based in London.
Key job responsibilities
• Define and execute the commercial strategy for the UK Core Sales team, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and driving profitability through strategic pricing, cost optimization, and revenue growth initiatives
• Partner with internal Finance, Operations, and Business Operations teams to define, develop and implement a coherent set of actions that support commercial growth
• Drive go-to-market strategies for new products and programmes, working closely with Product and Tech teams to ensure successful commercial launches
• Lead strategic planning processes and influence senior stakeholders across the business, developing business cases and financial models to support strategic decision-making
• Create and maintain performance tracking systems to measure success of strategic initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Experience in a professional field or military
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
