JOB TITLE: Business Development Director (UK) - Data & Insights

REPORTS TO: Head of Data and Insights UK

The Business Development Director is responsible for building and maintaining their client portfolio. Using their experience and industry knowledge, the portfolio will be grown through both introducing clients to Pureprofile but also through maximising client revenue through proposing and entering into strategic partnerships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver the revenue targets associated with this area of the business
  • Develop their client portfolio, meeting KPI's and monthly Revenue Targets.
  • Strategic, planned approach to generating new revenue from new and existing clients to ensure that we are maximising both revenue and margin delivery.
  • High volumes of proactive engagement with prospective clients, showcasing our best in class suite of technology products.
  • Be involved in the defining and executing the new business strategy for the UK team.
  • Given the volume of business being delivered, in terms of projects and revenues, it is likely the director will have direct reports to assist with the delivery of the portfolio. Reports needs to be managed and mentored, to ensure both their progression but also that they are working within the framework that Pureprofile requires.
  • Client meetings and presentations so they fully understand the range of services we offer maximising value, quality and price.
  • Management/mentoring of Business Development Managers within the team.
  • Liaise with the Product Development team to ensure a full understanding of the full suite of Pureprofile products and services.
  • Increase client awareness and understanding of Pureprofile products and capabilities to support direct selling activities and positioning within the account.
  • Explore and develop Pureprofile group synergies.
  • Work closely with the Account Management and Project Management teams to ensure that all of our clients receive an excellent level of service on each campaign.

To ensure that this can be completed optimally and in line with Pureprofile requirements, it is essential that the above is achieved whilst ensuring all activity is recorded in our CRM (Salesforce) and other internal systems.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A proven track record of successfully selling sample, to a range of clients in the market research industry.
  • High level of communication skills both written and oral including presentations and the ability to listen to clients and identify clients'needs to deliver the best solution
  • A strategic approach to business development and account management
  • Strong commercial acumen and can win clients over by your natural sales ability
  • Negotiating skills
  • The desire to work in an autonomous, fast-paced, dynamic and unstructured environment
  • Strong numerical reasoning ability
  • The natural ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships
  • A high level of organisation skills and be goal orientated
  • The ability to manage multiple clients and projects under tight deadlines is essential
