Business Development Manager - Building & Real Estate Division, SOCOTEC, London
To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Building and Real Estate Division.
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across SOCOTEC's Building & Real Estate Division by identifying opportunities, building strategic client relationships, and promoting integrated service solutions across Fire Engineering, Façade Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Safety, Building Pathology, Building Regulations Consultancy, CDM, and Sustainability practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities with developers, architects, contractors, local authorities, and building owners
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to expand SOCOTEC's market presence
- Leading preparation of presentations and coordination of proposals and tender submissions in line with client requirements
- Working collaboratively with the Commercial Director, BU Directors, and technical teams to create tailored solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards

- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management within the construction sector
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Understanding of UK building regulations and safety legislation (Building Safety Act, Golden Thread, Gateway regime)
