About the Job you are considering:
The Business Analyst - Insurance acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements, analyze insurance processes, and support delivery of insurance products and system enhancements. This role involves domain expertise in insurance operations such as claims, policy administration, underwriting, billing, and customer service.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Work with business users across Insurance functions (Claims, Policy Admin, Underwriting, Billing, Sales, Customer Service) to understand needs.
- Lead requirement workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs.
- Document Business Requirements (BRD), Functional Requirements (FRD), and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Translate complex insurance processes into simplified workflows and technical specifications.

- Endorsements & Renewals
- Claims initiation, adjudication, and settlement
- Underwriting workflows & risk evaluation
- Premium calculations & billing
- Work with Product Owners to refine insurance product features and regulatory compliance needs.
- Support configuration and implementation of insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, LifeAsia, PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, etc.).
- Process Mapping & Documentation
- Create process flows, use cases, data dictionaries, and system mapping documents.Perform gap analysis between current and target states.
- Maintain documentation aligned with compliance and audit requirements.
- Act as a bridge between business teams, development teams, QA, and vendors.Assist in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and team clarifications.
- Participate in solution design discussions and validate feasibility with tech teams.
Your Skills:

- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with major insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, LifeAsia, Ingenium, etc.).
- Agile/Scrum experience; ability to write clear user stories.
- Insurance certifications (LOMA, AINS, CPCU)CBAP, CCBA, PSPO, CSPO, PSM/CSM
- Understanding of digital insurance, portals, API integrations, and automation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement abilities.
- Strong critical thinking and requirement-elaboration skills.
- Ability to simplify complex insurance workflows.
- High attention to detail with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.'
