Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will be an integral part of an Agile Scrum team, collaborating with business partners, translating requirements into user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
Business Analysts are highly customer-focused and play a key role in fostering collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, helping their teams achieve goals. Methodical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical to effective business analysis.
In this role, you will contribute to delivering high-quality end-to-end digital solutions and actively participate in defining and applying best practices, standards, and ways of working across teams and projects. You will also collaborate across organizational boundaries to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers. 

Your role

Key Responsibilities
You will be at the heart of any project team, acting as a liaison between the client and internal teams. The BA role and responsibilities will vary depending on the project but will generally include:
•    Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
•    Leading the creation of user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
•    Develop process models (e.g., BPMN, flowcharts) to visualize workflows.
•    Aiding business analysis through analytical thinking, problem-solving, and clear communication.
•    Contributing to sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Contributing to user research and testing activities to inform decision-making.

Your skills and experience

Essential Skills and Experience
•    Experience in requirements gathering and analysis for digital solution or in business environments. 
•    Ability to quickly build authentic relationships, influence decisions, exercise sound judgment, and manage conflicts with confidence.
•    Confident in presenting ideas and solutions, with a flexible approach to work and the ability to act independently.
•    Solid understanding of systems lifecycles, business processes, and software development methodologies. Expertise in data capture, analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

•    Proficiency in requirements capture tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and working with Agile methodologies (Scrum).

Desirable Skills
•    Familiarity with front-end processes and software development lifecycles.
•    Knowledge of Agile frameworks and best practices.
•    Experience with data modelling techniques. 

Your security clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. 
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
