As an Account Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end journey for our large commercial generator customers. Acting as a trusted partner, you'll build strong long-term relationships, manage portfolio performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects our values and purpose.
You'll work closely with customers, brokers, and internal teams to ensure accounts are managed efficiently from onboarding through to renewal, using data-driven insights to maintain account health, resolve issues proactively, and support customer retention.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management: Be the primary point of contact for your customers, building trusted long-term relationships through day-to-day support and structured review meetings.
- End-to-End Account Ownership: Manage the full customer lifecycle from onboarding through to renewal, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience at every stage.
- Portfolio & Account Health: Monitor portfolio performance using reporting and data analysis to proactively identify issues, maintain billing accuracy, and support timely payments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Origination, Operations, Finance, and third-party partners to ensure contractual obligations are met and customers receive an efficient, joined-up service.
- Commercial Problem Solving: Resolve complex customer queries by balancing customer needs with business priorities, escalating risk appropriately and delivering commercially sound solutions.
- Customer Retention & Growth: Understand the strategic value of each customer portfolio, supporting retention and identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and cross-sell services.
- Operational Excellence: Deliver against KPIs and service standards while identifying efficiencies and improvements that support business growth and enhance the customer experience.
- Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing: Embrace change in a fast-growing business environment, continuously developing your industry knowledge and sharing expertise across the wider team.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a passionate and customer-focused Account Manager or Customer Service professional with experience supporting commercial customers, ideally within the energy or renewables sector.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in delivering exceptional service while building meaningful customer relationships.

- A genuine interest in clean technology and supporting the transition to renewable energy
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building long-lasting relationships
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively across a varied workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and solution-focused, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues
- Comfortable working with data and reporting to support decision-making and account management
- Interest in technology and improving ways of working through systems and tools
- A quick learner who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting team success
- Able to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable travelling occasionally to meet customers face-to-face
Desirables:
- Knowledge or experience within renewables, energy, or microgeneration
- Previous experience working with B2B customers
- Experience managing commercial customer relationships or account portfolios
Hybrid working explained: When and where you'll be in the officeOur office is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. For this role, we're looking for candidates who can come in to our Chippenham office, once a week based on location.
We offer both formal and informal flexible working options. Full-time hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
