Brief Description

To lead Building Information Modelling development throughout the region by providing support to asset teams, develop training and driving research and improvement.

Responsible for updating and maintaining railway 3D models in support of our digital twin
About the role (External)

Your Main Responsibilities will be to:

1. Support teams across the region with the use of Digital Construction and Building Information Modelling by identifying and developing solutions to deliver business benefits.

2. Develop a plan to improve the use of Building Information Modelling throughout the region.

3. Support the asset teams in the application and embedding Level 2 Building Information Modelling models across the region.

4. Work with stakeholders and Third Parties to develop joint approach to use and application of Building Information Modelling models throughout the region.

5. Develop a training plan to develop and improve the regions Digital Construction and Building Information Modelling capability.

6. Promote research into new Digital Construction and Building Information Modelling techniques and software, identifying and sharing best practise across the region and Network Rail.

You will ideally have

• Substantial successful experience in the use of Digital Construction and Building Information Modelling based systems

• Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively in a range of verbal and written methodologies

• Successful experience of working within the railway environment or similar industry

• Demonstrable strong database skills

• Successful experience of Ordnance Survey map products
