Job Description

Due to recent contract growth, exciting opportunities for an experienced warehouse Operations Manager has been created at our operation in Bridgwater, J24. This is a key role that will be central to the successful delivery of a contract where Wincanton are providing warehousing and transport services for equipment being delivered in for the construction of Hinkley Point.

Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, this includes being able to provide a minimum of 3 years consecutive UK employment/education & residential history

The role will report into the Senior Operations Manager

Day to Day

• Responsible for the day to day running of the site and managing, coaching and supporting a direct & indirect team

• Liaising with stakeholders across the wider business to coordinate the site to deliver on KPIs

• To lead from the front in delivering excellent service, managing budgetary KPI's and delivering on contractual commitments

• Ensure all shift activities are completed across the site in line with procedures
• Ensure the site operates in accordance with Health and Safety policy and procedures and that a proactive and
  robust Safety culture is embedded and embraced at all levels
• Implement and maintain best practice value to all aspects of the business with a view to continually improving
  working practice and efficiency
• Ensure that the management is compliant in all aspects, efficient and that the ongoing operation is set up to
  consistently meet the customer's requirements in terms of service and budgeted financial goals and other
  KPI's

• Create and run regular reports - interpreting and presenting to multiple tiers of management

• Final liaison for all site issues
• Work with your team to develop and maintain a positive and engaged workforce
