Operational Management

Business planning and Management

Staff Management

Support in the investigation and response to complaints and incident reports in line with Trust Policy

Assist the Breast Lead to draw up policies and procedures for the service as required in response to and in line with Trust directives

Ensure effective communication with all multidisciplinary professions

Support the Directorate in the development of services

Represent the Breast Lead at the Directorate at meetings as and when required

Ensure Health and Safety issues are identified and addressed

Provide regular and ad hoc reports as required by the Service Manager/ Head of Imaging

To undertake project work as requested by the Service Manager/Head of Imaging

Provide effective leadership, motivation, performance management and development processes to achieve required results

Priovide administrative support to the Breast Lead as and when required.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level or evidence of equivalent level of ability/NHS experience to Post/Graduate level

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of current NHS Policy including Agenda for Change and Key Performance Targets (RTT & Cancer)
  • Knowledge of hospital IT systems.

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Operational experience, prefereably with some exposure to the NHS
  • Budget management experience

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical and workable solutions
  • Ability to adapt to challenging and changing situations/demands providing leadership to team members.
  • To demonstrate an understanding of managing performance and national targets
