Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Life, health or medical sciences discipline
- Project management or business management qualification, or evidence of equivalent relevant professional project management experience
Desirable criteria
- Educated to post-graduate level (MSc or PhD) or equivalent.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Proven experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience of business development in an academic, clinical or commercial setting
Desirable criteria
- Experience of NIHR Infrastructure Funding
- Experience working in the NHS
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Essential criteria
- Strong organisational and time management skills, and evidence of working in a systematic manner.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and understanding of the structure of NHS organisations.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Life sciences commercial sector priorities
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of NHS research and innovation agenda.
- Knowledge and Understanding of national research and innovation infrastructure
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Experience of managing relationships with partners across the health/life science industry sectors
- Experience of facilitating events and meetings
- Experience of report writing
Desirable criteria
- Experience of clinical-academic research & innovation delivery
- Experience of commercial contracting processes
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Essential criteria
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
