Responsibilities
- TRADE MARKETING
- Own and manage trade calendar for all retailers in line with EMEA and UKI launch objectives to drive brand awareness and sales growth: work with the Marketing Manager and Commercial teams to develop well-paced Marketing calendars per retailer, incorporating national events, product previews, and exclusive retailer offers
- Work as a project leader with EMEA, RMs, NAMs, Training and Event teams to execute projects and reach a successful completion: new launches, POS, events, trade advertising, GWPs
- Work with NAMs to ensure that exclusives and promotional offers are in place to anniversary retail activity or drive sales at key trading periods
- Develop an understanding of trade customers' requirements to maximise brand inclusion in their activities
- Work closely with Operations to achieve excellence in the execution of launches and promotions
- Manage the development and implementation of windows and promotional sites alongside VM
- BRAND MANAGEMENT
- Be part of the local brand guardians for Drunk Elephant in the UKI and one of the key local contacts
- Ensure consistency of brand standards across all marketing platforms
- Ensure that all launches and activities are managed within the budget and are targeted to achieve measurable ROI
- Support Marketing Manager with the planning and implementation of timely advertising campaigns: support with the briefing and management of media plan in line with Global guidelines and UK brand objectives
- Work with the Digital team on online retailers' activities and Social Media to secure consistency
- Maintain a product assortment that reflects the needs of each channel
- Present launch plans at retailer strategy meetings and ensure that all new launches are supported with all relevant retailers
- Work with EMEA and local VM teams on counter design and Visual Merchandising sites and activities
- FORECAST PLANNING & PRICING
- Present forecast bulletins to wider sales team ahead of forecasting process clarifying global strategy and rationale
- Feed NPD insights to Marketing and Product Analyst and review quantities ahead of final sign off from Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and Commercial Director
- Manage research and pricing increase competitive tracking, present to Marketing Manager as well offering insight into wider environment to fuel price increase strategy
- Maintain and manage price ladders history of competition for all newness including limited editions and holiday
- MEDIA EXECUTION & SUPPORT
- Support the Marketing Manager in planning, briefing and executing the media plan
- Liaise with media agency partners, EMEA & Global and local design agency to execute all asset requests per channel
- Understand media campaign performance and results, to suggest learnings for future campaigns
- ANALYSIS & REPORTING
- Manage post campaign analysis of all major launches to be shared with the wider UK, EMEA and Global teams with assistance from Coordinator and cross functional teams
- Liaise with relevant parties to measure + communicate back to UK/EU Management ROI of all initiatives including brand eventing
- Ensure monthly collation on all relevant competitor initiatives in terms of product launches, merchandising and specific retailer marketing campaigns
- Lead and communicate monthly brand report and share with key stakeholders and EMEA
- ADMINISTRATION
- Manage POSM allocation by door for each launch and lead Operations for implementation
- Manage Drunk Elephant budget trackers under MM supervision - liaise with Marketing Manager to ensure budget is spent wisely and all expenses recorded accurately within the agreed budget
- Manage the raising and receipting of Purchase Orders and liaising with Finance team to process payment of invoices
- Management of 1 Marketing Coordinator
Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Strong experience in a previous retail marketing role, preferably within beauty
- Commercial with sound business acumen
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work very collaboratively, to influence and negotiate
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Creative with an eye for detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Team spirit & can-do attitude
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- A strong interest and passion for the beauty industry is a must!
