MATTA is an independent, forward-thinking, digital-first creative agency for sport. Our campaigns have won multiple awards, and we have been Agency of the Year several times over.
We build digital and social strategies, design and position brands, hatch big ideas, create advertising campaigns, produce content, and we have a design, video, and edit studio in-house. We're based in London, but the majority of the work we do is global. Our clients are iconic rightsholders, clubs and brands, including ATP Tour, ICC, The FA, R&A, PWR, England Rugby, Chelsea Women, Tottenham Hotspur, EA7, Clinique, to name a few.
We are looking for a talented, highly motivated Brand Manager to work with our exciting clients, playing a big part in the development of commercially successful relationships, managing interactions with clients while also supporting new business pitches for MATTA and seeing first-hand our acclaimed branding projects and marketing campaigns come to life.
The Role:
As a member of our Brand Team, you will be passionate about developing outstanding marketing for exciting brands in the world of sport. You will develop and manage the creative response to briefs, and will be the pivot point in the ideation process, knowing and understanding what will and won't work, and recommending the best course of action.
You will understand and contribute to the process of brand positioning and creative development whilst being capable of developing outline campaign plans - all while accurately scoping projects to deliver targets and budgets.
You will be skilled in managing stakeholders internally, maintaining their motivation on projects, (ie design studio, production team, and motion editors) in delivering the best work for clients on time and within budget. As a natural relationship builder you will also always be on the alert to unearth fresh opportunities for MATTA with your clients and extend our reach within their organisations.
Your Strengths:
- You are a natural relationship builder with the gravitas to quickly enable trust, rapport and respect.
- You have a true passion for working with brands, particularly in a social media context, whether that's creating brand identities from scratch, or repositioning and refreshing existing brands through digital first campaigns and content.
- You are excellent at managing budgets and finance.
- You ensure project objectives are delivered because like us you are fanatical about execution and its detail.
- You are someone who enjoys rolling your sleeves up to manage projects end to end, with a real flair for outstanding organisation and project planning.
- You have impeccable brief writing skills.
- You are a bright and strategic thinker with exceptional creative judgement.
- You have at least three years of experience gained within a client-facing marketing role, ideally in a creative agency.
- You have a fascination for brands, their advertising, social media and consumers and a great knowledge of past and current relevant campaigns.
- You can lead and manage multiple accounts/briefs at any one time.
- You exude a positive can do attitude.
- A love of sport would definitely help to move you further up the shortlist.
