JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oakley is one of the leading sports brands in the world. The holder of more than 600 patents, Oakley captures a unique blend of technology, design and art in its sunglasses, goggles, prescription eyewear, apparel, footwear and accessories, with product lines that target Sports Performance, Active and Lifestyle consumers. Product distribution is global and spans wholesale to retail, and optical to sport.

As a Sport Channel - Brand Account Manager you are responsible for the delivery of targeted sales for your brand and territory.

The successful candidate will have number of core accountabilities in the role, this including:

  • Increase sales in the territory with assigned clients/products by delivering individual targeted sales volumes, values, return rates, and brand distribution and penetration objectives by effectively identifying and meeting customer needs;
  • Develop business by building good working relationships with customers and visiting them periodically;
  • Effectively cover your territory with well-planned visits and a consistent level of service for all customers in accordance with company guidelines;
  • Deliver and review effective brand, product, and visual merchandising training for your customers' sales and/or dispensing staff to ensure that our customers not only buy our products, but actively recommend them;
  • Deliver presentations of new collections to clients at least two times per year for registration of orders in accordance with the Company's annual plan;
  • Follow up new leads and referrals resulting from field activity;
  • Support local and international events and trade marketing and visual merchandising initiatives;
  • Keep product range at clients' outlets, quality and quantity of stock and store supplies under control, ensure that orders input is done in a timely manner and control on orders execution;
  • Identify and resolve client concerns related to the Company's products and services;
  • Guarantee respect and correct deployment of commercial policy, being an ambassador of the brand and Company at all times.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

The successful candidate will require a number of key competencies and abilities to succeed in the role:

  • effective planning - implementing an effective customer contact strategy: demonstrating a consistent, and effective customer meeting schedule and routinely scheduling future appointments at the end of each call, building effective 'bottom up' customer goals in order to deliver objectives;
  • being an active team member - creating internal and external business partnerships, showing a willingness to share ideas and actively supporting other members of the team and other company functions.
  • Demonstrating outstanding product knowledge - understanding, demonstrating, and bringing to life the histories, visions, and stories of Oakley as well as the superiority of EssilorLuxottica manufacturing; acting as a brand ambassador. Effectively managing a brand portfolio to meet the needs of company, brands, sales team, and customers.
  • Acting as a guardian of the Culture - leading by example in all of the above; maintaining focus on brand building as the cornerstone of our success;
  • Acting as a guardian of the Brand - building an account base to deliver and exceed objectives in line with brand strategy is essential.
  • Using a structured approach to sales meetings - using appropriate questions to establish customer needs, answering customer questions and handling objections effectively, applying a professional and structured approach to conducting sales meetings, preparing and following-up in an effective and expedient manner in line with company standards.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

To apply for and be successful in this role, the candidate must:

  • have demonstrable customer service and selling experience, ideally in a field sales environment;
  • have excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
  • have strong Apple iPad and PC skills including competent use of the Microsoft Office;
  • preferably have an understanding of the Sports Industry;
  • have a full, clean driving licence (essential)
  • be willing and able to travel extensively with some overnight stays away from home;
  • be physically able to visit customers, carry and set up samples and merchandise as well as building trade stands where required or able to complete these tasks with reasonable accommodations;
  • ideally, have experience of the sports and/or luxury FMCG industry; and
  • preferably, have a bachelor's degree.
