About the role:
Join Sage Homes as our Block Manager, where you'll play a key role in stabilising and transforming our intensively managed blocks, helping deliver safe, well-managed homes. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-moving, customer-centred environment.
This role is based from our London (Covent Garden Office) 3 days per week, there will also be travel required to the blocks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the operational lead for allocated blocks, ensuring services meet contractual, regulatory and Sage standards.
- Coordinate day-to-day management, resolving issues that prevent effective business-as-usual operations.
- Oversee compliance, including lease obligations, building safety and audit-ready record keeping.
- Lead contractor and managing-agent performance, ensuring quality, value for money and timely action.
- Manage repairs, planned maintenance and major works programmes, supporting governance and Section 20 processes.
- Provide clear, structured updates to stakeholders, escalating risks and driving continuous service improvement.
About you
We're looking for someone who is confident working in a compliance-driven environment, brings professionalism and resilience, and shares our passion for delivering safe, well-managed homes. You will bring:
- Experience in residential block management, including strong knowledge of leases and service charges.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports and engage with residents and stakeholders.
- Confidence managing contractors, agents and suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Solid understanding of building safety, health and safety, and compliance frameworks.
- A calm, customer-centred approach when handling sensitive or complex issues.
