Bam Nuttall are currently looking to expand their Digital Projects Solution team and recruit a BIM Manager for our Kilsyth (Glasgow) office. With the introduction of new digital solutions, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Information/BIM Manager to oversee a team of digital professionals for a new power transmission framework.

Reporting to the Digital Project Solutions (DPS) Business Partner, this role focuses on implementing information management and digital strategy on tenders and projects. You will plan and manage the use of digital tools to capture, share, and use information to enhance project/contract delivery. This role is responsible for service delivery of project or contract information management and tactical deployment of project-based technology.

Your work environment

  • This role will be located at our Kilsyth office. On occasion, you will be required to travel to different site locations.

Your mission

  • Ability to manage pipeline and workload to deliver the appropriate service to meet customer needs and liaise with DPS Digital Engineering & Production, and DPS Support to agree and deliver appropriate resource and service to projects/contracts
  • Knowledge of client and business requirements ensuring that the appropriate plans, specifications, reviews and controls are in place
  • Work in accordance with relevant sections of applicable industry standards, codes of practice, company procedures and legal requirements
  • Maintain high safety, environmental, and quality standards in accordance with company policies and report any non-compliance
  • Ability to highlight risk, opportunity, change and commercial impact to the project/contract team, ensuring it is recorded in accordance with BAM procedures
  • Facilitate training and support for all aspects of information management, including the Common Data Environment, to the project/contract team and stakeholders as required
  • Coordinate the delivery of the Project and/or Asset Information Model(s), as specified in the Exchange Information Requirements and BAM's ISO 19650 protocol
  • Support the development of the Appointing Party's ISO 19650 protocol and associated deliverables
  • Implement systems for the management, sharing and storage of information, according to required security protocols, throughout the project/contract lifecycle, including archiving and disposal
  • Develop working relationships to support internal commercial, legal and procurement functions to ensure that the supply chain achieves BAM's ISO 19650 protocol, including contribution to the Master and Task Information Delivery Plans
  • Collaborate with DPS and IT resources for the setup, integration, testing, training and support of digital systems, ensuring that data integrity is maintained
  • Prepare and provide reports, analysis and forecasting as required
  • Ensures all stakeholders are compliant with BAMs ISO 19650 protocol and procedures and address any non-compliance
  • Contribute to the development of the Master Information Delivery Plan and Task Information Delivery Plan
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining the project/contract ISO 19650 protocol, and associated deliverables, to ensure project goals and EIRs are met
  • Manage a meeting schedule for the project/contract ISO 19650 protocol review
  • Manage the Common Data Environment and facilitate training and support

Who are we looking for?

  • Demonstrates potential to provide leadership within a team environment.
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
  • Developing management and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Developing experience in digital construction / facilities management and document management.
  • Awareness of the design and construction industry and the tendering process.
  • Ability to contribute to prequalification and tender submissions.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 series
  • Educational Background: Higher Education in Construction or related fields
  • Experience working on construction projects / FM contracts with experience in digital solutions.
