About The Role

Join Our Team as a Billing Manager!
Intercity Technology is looking for a detail-driven and strategic Billing Manager to lead our billing operations team. Based in Birmingham, this role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our monthly billing processes. You'll manage a small team of billing specialists and play a key role in shaping the future of our billing function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in billing or finance, ideally within the Telecoms or IT sector. A person who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Billing Manager:

• Billing Oversight: Manage the full billing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate monthly billing.
• Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of billing specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Reporting & Analysis: Deliver high-quality billing and supplier management reports.
• Revenue Assurance: Identify opportunities for margin improvement and ensure revenue accuracy.
• Process Improvement: Drive improvements in billing processes, reporting, and internal controls.
• Compliance & Regulation: Ensure all billing activities meet regulatory and compliance standards.
• Project Involvement: Lead or support billing-related projects as required by the business.

Education and Qualifications:

• Strong academic background with analytical and accounting skills.
• Degree desirable but not essential.
• Proficiency in billing systems and customer portals.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Extensive experience in billing, accounting, or finance.
• Telecoms/IT sector experience preferred.
• Proven track record in managing bill runs and reporting.
• Experience using Affinity billing platform is highly desirable.

Competencies and Skills:

• Energetic and enthusiastic with a hands-on approach.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Comfortable navigating complex or non-standard situations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
