Description

We are currently seeking a Bid Writing Manager to join our Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange here at Bath Spa University. This is an exciting role working to facilitate growth in bid and grant funding opportunities through identification of bid opportunities and creation of successful funding bids.

About the Role

You will lead on identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from key innovation portals, crafting evidence-based, outcomes-focused narratives, and aligning bids with financial and staffing requirements.

You will collaborate closely with senior colleagues to ensure bids are fully costed, and design rigorous monitoring and evaluation processes.

In addition, you will have the persistence and precision needed to deliver large-scale, high-quality grant applications under tight deadlines.

About You

You will have a degree or equivalent qualification, with proven experience in grant writing, project planning, and successful multi-partner delivery.

Strong knowledge of key funders like Innovate UK and AHRC is essential, alongside excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills.

You will be adept at writing clear, outcomes-focused narratives under pressure, collaborating with internal and external partners, and managing bids to meet deadlines.

A commercially focused approach and willingness to occasionally work irregular hours is required.

Grade 7 - 38,249 - GBP 42,882 per annum
