As a Bid Manager you’ll provide expert support to the Pursuit Leads and wider growth team to ensure the timely and successful completion of proposals, bids, presentations and supporting collateral for retained business and new sales opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

Things you will do:

  • Production of high-quality bid documents in written formats (RFI’s, RFP’s) and pitch presentations that clearly articulate our value proposition and win themes
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative research to fully understand the client/prospect
  • Adhere to the Standard Operating Process (SOP) managing the bid process end-to-end, including facilitating kick-off, storyboarding, win themes and competitor mapping sessions as part of the process (where appropriate)
  • Act as brand ambassador ensuring all bid documents are delivered in accordance with corporate brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • Review and proof-read bid content to ensure all outputs are of the highest standard prior to following the internal ‘Quality Assurance’ process
  • Working in-conjunction with the wider team, suggest content to form part of the Bid Library
  • Apply creativity to overcome problems and develop workable solutions that are relevant to the day-to-day Growth team environment
  • Attend pre-tender briefing sessions and post-tender debriefing sessions as required ensuring relevant information is captured and circulated
  • Ensure that all content relating to the bid is stored on the Knowledge Exchange
  • Ensure a thorough post-bid ‘wash up’ session is conducted
  • Attend win/loss discovery sessions facilitated by the Global Bid Director on relevant opportunities
  • Maintain a strong market awareness and understanding of AMS’ competitive differentiation and value proposition
  • Respond effectively to stakeholder enquiries, requests and concerns and meet quality standards of service

Skills & Experience:

What you need to have to be successful:

Must haves

  • Experience in bid management and development, project management and communications
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling and editing skills
  • Proven ability to engage and successfully collaborate with numerous subject matter experts across the organisation to obtain and articulate necessary information
  • Prior experience of Resourcing, RPO, CWS opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Strong, proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects
  • Strong personal time-management and prioritisation skills
  • Proven ability to work with individuals at all organisational levels including managing upwards
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice to haves

  • Bid Management APMP foundation level or higher or Project management (Prince2) qualification
  • Understanding of business and sales process/cycle and associated roles
  • Ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority
  • Multi-regional, global bid management experience including understanding cultural nuances
  • Understanding of blended workforce solutions and wider HRO, Consulting and Talent Management services and solutions.
  • Understanding of Talent Acquisition market drivers
