Bid Manager - Infrastructure

Location - Midlands

What you will be doing:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Infrastructure division as a Bid Manager in the Midlands region, leading the development and submission of bids while promoting Galliford Try' as a business. As Bid Manager, you will collaborate with senior team members, ensuring compliance with governance requirements and driving business development.

The successful candidate should have a solid grasp of preconstruction processes, strong interpersonal skills, and will gain exposure to UK national infrastructure procurement as well as Regional and Local Government procurement via framework or open tender procedures.

Excellent organization, communication, and deadline management skills are essential along with the ability to lead successful bids, drive business growth and maximise profit.

Must have a willingness and ability to work and travel to the Midlands regional offices of Solihull and Annesley.

  • Coordinate the overall bid submission process
  • Develop a bid win strategy to maximise chances of winning the project at commercial sustainable rates
  • Agreement and management of the bid budget
  • Appointment and management of third party consultants, specialist services and surveys requirements
  • Full coordination and leadership of the bid team;
  • Produce and agree the bid programme identifying key dates for the submission of information, review dates, deadlines and production of the bid
  • Production of bid submission matrices identifying individual responsibilities for every section
  • Arrange, attend and chair bid team meetings, preparing meeting agendas, issuing updates and clarifications to the bid team;
  • Complete and update a schedule of bid qualifications
  • Complete and maintain required internal approval and bid management forms in accordance with the requirements of GT BMS - Bids
  • Delivering high quality presentations to a varied audience including clients, design team, supply chain and internal Senior Management
