The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to join our London team. This pivotal role focuses on pitching for key and strategic opportunities across our Commercial, Rural, and Residential teams, providing a diverse and engaging range of pitch. As a Bid Manager, you will oversee the entire bid process from inception to completion, demonstrating exceptional planning, production, and delivery skills.
You will need a proven track record of crafting highly engaging and creative client-focused pitch content in a fast-paced environment. While professional services experience is desirable, a background in the property market is advantageous but not essential. Understanding capture management to facilitate business development and growth is vital in this highly networked role.
Your ability to work under pressure and lead from the front will be crucial. Additionally, this role supports our Key Account Management (KAM) programme. Strong people management skills and the capacity to build successful relationships at all business levels are key.
The role is based in our London office with home working.
Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of Commercial, Rural and Residential pitches.
• Develop trusted relationships across the business and be regarded as a pitch specialist.
• Innovate in the delivery of pitches across the business.
• Manage the end-to-end bid process and champion the qualification process with all teams.
• Project manage all phases of the pitching programme, including planning, design, drafting, review, final production, and submission.
• Conduct pitch strategy workshops to identify win themes and value propositions, supporting the development of the pitch strategy.
• Contribute to written content (where applicable), coordinate, and review/edit proposal input from various stakeholders.
• Support and coach fee earners in preparing and rehearsing presentations, including developing highly impactful material.
• Lead feedback interviews for key pitches, whether won or lost.
• Support projects to ensure continuous development of the bid library.
• Play an active role in supporting the rollout of bid training across the business.
• Implement lessons learned during the pitching process to ensure continuous improvement.
• Be an active and supportive member of the bid team and the broader MarComms team
• Support the Key Account Management (KAM) programme
• Support cross-selling initiatives within the business.
Candidate Profile
• Proven bid management experience
• Professional services experience
• Proven track record of pitch win rates
• Experience in coaching / mentoring of business colleagues
• Ability to evaluate, adapt, and improves standards, techniques and procedures
