Job overview
This post will sit within the BI team for the Trust however will provide core data analytics, insights, modelling, data visualisation and strategic business intelligence to the COO's office. It will be required to work dynamically across rapid requests in response to operational challenges, short- and medium-term reporting to inform operational improvement and optimisation, as well as long term projects to support fuller pathway redesign and transformational work.

About the team:
The informatics team is split into two areas, data delivery and requirements & engagement. These teams work together to deliver against our service model to the organisation.
We work in an environment of collaboration, and whilst we endeavour to deliver information in a right the first-time environment, we have also created the space for teams and individuals to test out new technologies or interest projects within ring-fenced time - often in collaboration with external consultancies who support and encourage learning within the team.
About the location:
The Digital Services Informatics team is based at Jeanette Wallace House, in-between Bromley and Croydon (CR0 1ER)
Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). We also provide services and operate across other locations, such as London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; and substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Lambeth, Greenwich and Wandsworth.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with senior managers and key stakeholders in defining and prioritising requests for reports and dashboards.
Ensure Requirements Manager is carrying out duties to ensure that requirements and user stories are captured and understood and are aligned with the trust strategy.
Research and utilise best practice to ensure that a variety of techniques are used to understand, document and confirm business requirements.
Responsible for prioritising work programme for Requirements Manager as and when necessary.
Assuring technical definition of all information requests ensuring alignment to national strategies, regulatory requirements and local Trust requirements.
Assuring that complex aims and needs are translated into clear and manageable plans.
Identify and manage resource requirements to support product development and maintenance.
Provide assurance to stakeholders that requirements and definitions for reports and dashboards are understood by the BI delivery team.
Monitor progress of delivery of reports and dashboards and provide regular updates and communication to the requestor. Manage escalation process to relevant heads of services as and when necessary.
Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of business information throughout the product development processes.
Ensure that team understand the importance of confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
- Continuously improve approaches to IT requirements gathering, analysis and business modelling, including educating, coaching and developing the skills of colleagues to improve quality of service.
- Ensure all reports and dashboards are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage.
- Facilitate, monitor and feedback user acceptance testing of reports and dashboards.
- The post holder would be expected to engage and liaise with all stakeholders who require information to manage their services.
- The post holder will be expected to represent the trust at relevant events, conferences and other external meetings relating to information requirement gathering.
- The post holder will provide assurance that all documentation and agreed requirements are to an appropriate standard.
- Monitor the development of plans to implement them and ensure the stakeholder need is met.
- The post holder is also expected to provide user guides for Reports, Dashboards, and statistical/epidemiological analysis tools.
- The post holder will monitor the assurance and provision of evidence that all outputs and products produced are fully assured and sustainable.
- The post holder will need to attend business meetings and provide a high standard of communication to various stakeholder, including Service Directors.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of relevant NHS guidance, information strategy, compliance framework and policies.
- Assist in identifying any improvements to systems and processes within the SLP.
- The post holder will have effective communication skills to build strong relationships to ensure timely delivery.
- Post holder is responsible for developing the quality assurance processes and ensuring the team and others are familiar with the processes.
- Any ad hoc duties related to the above, commensurate with the banding of the post and current capacity.

Essential criteria
- Proven experience of delivering coaching for Clinical Applications
Desirable criteria
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.
- Customer Service Qualification
- ITIL Foundation Version 3 or equivalent
Skills and Knowledge

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and productivity suites
- Excellent Customer Service Skill
- Advise and assist in the establishment and management of effective communication on all aspects of client support between other ICT functions and the wider business.
- Negotiate with all customers, including clinicians and managers.
- Handle complex and multi-stranded communications.
- Extensive highly developed specialist knowledge, skills, experience & expertise in Digital Service management including that of staff.
- Experience of Project management and leading projects to successful completion

- must be experienced with advanced skilled in use of SQL, large language data models, power BI, working with national reporting, MHSDS, data cleansing, data warehousing and data visualisation
