Contract Type: Fixed Term for 1 Year

Working Hours: 37, between 8:30 and 4:30 (term time)

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £30,296 (Level one) rising to £33,024 (Level four) per annum (pro rata for term time £26,054, Level one)

Location: Dragon Court, 1 Woolsthorpe Close, Nottingham, NG8 3BP (hybrid base)

About the Role

Are you in search of a new challenge? Do you have the versatility to work in diverse settings, with individuals of all ages and capabilities?

Do you possess experience in supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) or behavioural needs? Are you capable of helping maintain the school placement of SEMH/behavioural children and young people at risk of exclusion? Do you have the necessary skills, knowledge, and dedication?

Would you seize the chance to join a respected Behaviour Support Team, contributing to the enhancement of life opportunities, inclusion, emotional health, and well-being for the children and young people of Nottingham City?

We are seeking to recruit for the start of the next academic year a dedicated Learning Mentor who can collaborate with schools and families to foster the inclusion of children and young people with SEMH/behavioural needs.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Level 3 qualification and min level 2 English and Maths

• Experience of working in schools, or counselling, youthwork, community work, social care or similar role

• Knowledge and understanding of the principles of inclusive education in relation to CYP with SEMH needs

• The capacity to constructively engage with and relate to a broad spectrum of children, young people (CYP), and families from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds is essential.

- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
