The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour and Learning Mentor (Adviser) to join our dynamic team, supporting students through personalised learning, reintegration, and holistic development.
As Behaviour and Learning Mentor (Adviser) you will empower learners, coordinate tailored support, and work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and external agencies.

• Salary: Term-time working with salary paid at £28,500
• Location: On-site, Doncaster (DN12 4EE)
• Work pattern: Monday-Friday, 8:30-16:30
• Travel: Occasional travel to other schools - driving licence & own vehicle required
• Annual Leave: Up to 13 weeks off per year aligned to school holidays
What You'll Be Doing
Student Support & Learning
- Oversee and quality-assure personalised learning plans
- Design engaging, individualised learning projects
- Ensure assessments align with student needs and outcomes
- Support exhibitions and the sharing of student work
Partnerships & Community
- Build community links and work-related learning opportunities
- Liaise with SEN, Children's Services, Youth Offending Teams and other agencies
- Contribute to referrals and attend multi-agency meetings
Advisory Coordination
- Work with schools to assess learner needs and allocate cases
- Develop resources and strategies with the team
- Schedule and deliver sessions, keeping Learning Plans updated
- Visit schools to maintain relationships and support reintegration
Self-Development
- Participate in 1:1s, supervision, and team meetings
- Engage in coaching, training, and professional development
Reintegration & Transition Support
- Discuss referrals and current learners with schools
- Identify students requiring outreach or reintegration support
- Facilitate communication between in-house teams and schools
What You'll Bring
We're seeking someone who is:
- Has Experience working with young people in an educational, pastoral, or alternative provision setting
- Has a Background in supporting students with diverse needs, including those with SEND or behavioural barriers
- Compassionate and committed to supporting young people
- Organised, with strong case-management and coordination skills
- An excellent communicator who can build relationships with schools and external agencies
- Adaptable, able to work across teams and respond to changing needs
- Proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Collaborative, thriving in a team environment
- Committed to personal development, reflective practice, and continuous learning
