Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to work in flexible Bank position in a well-established, innovative Hand Therapy team. This position has the opportunity to be completed remotely for an experienced Hand Therapist.We are looking to register reliable, hardworking individuals who would thrive in a busy environment. The role will involve undertaking advanced hand therapy assessment and treatments using appropriate therapy techniques and therapeutic handling skills in line with department standards and evidence based practice. We are a flexible department and the hours can be flexible according to your needs.We hold regular training sessions and you would be provided with ongoing support throughout your role in the Occupational Therapy department.
Main duties of the job
- To develop and provide specific interventions, delivering specialised skills in assessment, treatment and advice to patients.
- To utilise and build on assessment skills, evidence based practice and complex clinical reasoning to provide hand therapy to patients referred to the service.
- To provide formal supervision and appraisal to junior staff and students when required, to support caseload management, develop their skills and knowledge.
- To develop and deliver teaching and education to others based on evidence and research.
- To actively participate in service development and evaluation.
- To work in an Inpatient and Outpatient setting.
