This role will primarily support the longer-term redevelopment plans but will also therefore prioritise, plan and deliver interim changes that support the longer-term clinical and estates strategies

Person specification

Education

Essential criteria

  • Masters degree or equivalent or experience in project management or operational delivery, with proven successful delivery.
  • Qualified PRINCE2 Project Management or clinically qualified.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of NHS Capital Business Case development / HM Treasury Green Book Guidance.
  • Knowledge of financial management and risk management.
  • Understanding of procurement processes within the NHS

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of delivering capital scheme business cases.
  • Experience of initiating, prioritising and delivering complex programmes and / or services.
  • Experience of prioritising, planning and delivering change, working with frontline staff.
  • Experience of prioritising change, taking account of a wider variety of stakeholder views

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Excellent skills in planning, managing and directing multi-faceted programmes/projects or managing clinical services.
  • High degree of negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to think creatively with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organising, motivation, leadership and team building skills.
  • Use independent judgement and initiative.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Standard IT and keyboard skills.
