Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the release of SACT and PN from Barnet Hospital's Section 10 exempt Production Unit
  • Involve themselves with the day-to-day supervision and management of staff as well as their training
  • Get involved with managing and developing various aspects of the Pharmaceutical Quality System including but not limited to SOP writing, deviation management, change control, validation activities and audits

Key skills and qualities required from the successful candidate include an attention to detail, good time management skills and the ability to work in an organised manner. They will also be able to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with other individuals as well as be self-aware and take on board feedback.

  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Currently undertaking post-graduate education e.g. clinical diploma, PTQA or having completed one of these.

Experience

  • Significant relevant experience working in hospital pharmacy (preregistration year spent in hospital service is eligible).
  • Comprehensive Band 6 rotation, including Aseptic Services & Oncology/Haematology
  • Broad based clinical experience.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective pharmaceutical skills.
