We have exciting opportunities in the Information Management Team for an enthusiastic and highly skilled Senior Information Analyst.
The successful candidates will have a proven track record in a senior position within an information team, with extensive knowledge of NHS healthcare reporting. This position requires an adaptable, forward thinker who thrives on change. You will need to be understanding of client requirements and able to innovate ensuring that data becomes information and with your team turns into insight enabling the Trust to perform at its best.
You will be expected to quickly develop an understanding of the business of healthcare provision, to support and lead on quality decision making through provision of excellent analytical support. You will be an integral member of the hospital information team and be expected to contribute to the development, agreement and implementation of priorities.

- Substantial experience of NHS information systems, sufficient to have gained an in depth knowledge of the way data is held on Trust's Patient Administration Systems (PAS)
- Extensive experience of analysing information, preferably in the NHS, with evidence of success at producing reports/models/statistic al analyses that met the clients' needs
- Knowledge of patient pathways within primary and secondary care sector
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of secondary care commissioning mechanisms

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, producing reports/documentation to a professional standard, with an ability to communicate and present complex issues to audiences with a range of understanding.
- Able to build good business relationships and liaise effectively with senior management, clinical staff and other colleagues
- Proven ability to design and manage programmes of work, including the ability to act on own initiative in these areas
- Expert understanding of the concepts and techniques of spreadsheets and relational databases
- Experience of advanced SQL querying techniques
- Knowledge of and experience with relevant statistical/mathematical modelling packages
- Extremely numerate/logical and able to analyse and interpret data and information accurately and effectively
- Willingness to reflect on experiences and actively seeks to learn lessons from these
