Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You'll be accountable for your own portfolio to ensure that cases are dealt with in a timely way. You'll get involved in strategic priorities relating to the services you are supporting with the HR Business Partner.

We offer flexibility on how the hours will be worked including a blend on onsite presence and working from home. Part time hours will also be considered. We are also keen to support our team with their CIPD qualifications and support ongoing development for aspiring Business Partners.

Education and qualifications

Essential criteria

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in an HR adviser role
• CIPD qualified level 5.
• Working towards Postgraduate Qualification in Human Resources (CIPD Level 7) or willing to undertake

Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Specialist Knowledge of employee relations and employment law.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment practices / law Knowledge and use of HR case management systems Some NHS knowledge (AFC terms and conditions).
• Knowledge of change management

Experience

Essential criteria

• Significant experience of dealing with a range of complex ER issues including grievances and B&H
• Experience of advising on local policies.
• Some experience of complex disciplinary issues Experience of dealing with complex absence and ill health issues.
