Baggage Services Manager
Location: Edinburgh Airport

We're looking for a Baggage Services Manager to lead a team dedicated to delivering world-class service. You'll be the driving force behind a team of supervisors and agents, ensuring passengers receive timely updates, seamless support, and ultimately, the return of their belongings.
Behind the scenes, your team will use cutting-edge systems to track and reunite passengers with their baggage, while you focus on operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. You'll be a leader, a problem solver, and the reason our service sets the industry standard.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of Supervisors in the Baggage Services & Ticket Desk department.
- Driving key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance baggage service performance.
- Managing and improving operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with airlines and airport stakeholders.
- Overseeing ancillary revenue streams, such as replacement baggage services.
- Coaching and mentoring your team, ensuring ongoing development and training.
- Supporting during peak times-getting hands-on when needed.
- Handling welfare, performance management, and disciplinary processes when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience in Airport Ground Operations (2+ years as a Supervisor required).
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, ideally with a Train the Trainer qualification.
- A passion for delivering world-class customer service.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and process efficiency.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus!).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and baggage tracking systems (WorldTracer essential).
- Physical fitness-able to lift up to 32kg over short distances.
- Flexibility to work various shifts (early mornings, nights, weekends, public holidays).
