£39,500 per annum

More about the role:

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Back of House Manager will be in charge for the warehouse area, wash up area, and loading bay. The one in charge to keep the entire equipment, heavy, light, CCG, disposable, chemicals, linen, and beverage under control. Correct storage, and keeping a spotless track of their movement around the venue, as well as their volume. Alongside the Head of Logistics, driving changes, improvements and new process.

Person Specification (Mixture of Compass and Levy Restaurants Behaviours/Competencies)

  • Experienced in leading the implementation of change programmes to deliver operational benefits.
  • Comfortable working within brand guidelines to deliver results.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communications skills - able to influence all stakeholder levels.
  • Previous P&L accountability and evidence of commercial nous.
  • Exudes confidence, energy, and charisma.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and agility.
  • Calm and structured approach, coupled with resilience and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Preferable forklift driving license holder.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Responsible to manage the picklist procedures, liaising with the operation team, report shortages and offer alternative solutions.
  • Highly responsible for the any good receiving procedure, immediately report shortages and discrepancies to suppliers and communicate them to other departments.
  • Responsible for the holding stock level of Linen, Disposable and Chemicals in the warehouse.
  • Highly responsible for the maintain, right storage and stock counting of any logistics equipment, light or heavy.
  • Responsible for carry out a quarterly CCG stocktake, report, and justify any discrepancies.
  • Responsible for any equipment hired returns or collection, informing the head of department of any possible losses, and reducing them at minimum cost.
  • Liaison with 3rd party supplier and contractors to underpin effective service delivery.
  • Responsible, alongside the kitchen department, for the loading bay tidiness.
  • Attending events planning meetings once requested
  • Supporting the Beverage Logistics Manager with cellar orders, when required.
  • Supporting the Logistic manager with any rental equipment orders, events related.
  • Responsible for the wash up procedures, tidiness, and cleanliness. Ensuring the correct store of the equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issue within the company venue areas to the Facility Manager or Head of Logistics.
  • Supporting the head of department to produce the department ROTA, once requested.
  • Ensure Back of House areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards and cleaning schedules are followed and completed.
  • Follow and improve operating and cleaning procedures together with the head of BOH and Logistic
  • Ensure water temperature and chemical levels in al washing up areas are appropriate for cleaning and documented.
  • Work ahead of events with all departments to ensure items that are required for events are available when needed.
  • Take all necessary actions to reduce the breakage of China and Glassware.
