Assistant Manager - Training

Are you an experienced Audit Senior Assistant, Audit Senior Associate, Audit Supervisor or Assistant Manager that enjoys training and coaching junior and qualified members of staff to help them reach their full potential? Are you looking for a new challenge but want to utilise your skills and experience differently? Do you want to become a Trainer? If so, then look no further, as we have created a new Audit Technical Trainer role at Assistant Manager level to support our national Audit Service Line.

This individual will have excellent communication, training/coaching and technical skills gained within an Audit setting. You will be responsible for planning elements of the training programme for the firm's student and qualified staff and partners working within audit along with other Training Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and delivering audit courses for classroom and digital delivery.
  • Writing and delivering other courses for the student population including skills courses and introductory financial reporting courses.
  • There is an expectation to work closely with relevant members of the management team, particularly those in audit, to establish the training needs that exist and ensure the programme design meets those needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in suggesting appropriate learning solutions is essential, whether these are classroom courses, webinars, videos or other media.
  • You should be imaginative and pro-active in your approach to developing both individual training courses and the programme of courses.
  • The firm uses accelerated learning techniques in its course delivery and whilst it is not necessary to be experienced or trained in these techniques you must be willing to embrace them with appropriate guidance. These techniques use courses that are more interactive and put the emphasis on the learner, where possible, finding out the relevant information rather than the trainer solely delivering material in a lecture style.
  • Classroom courses will be delivered nationally and there is a requirement to travel to any of our RSM offices.

About the ideal candidate

  • You will be ACA qualified or chartered equivalent qualified and will have experience coaching and training staff.
  • Previous experience of working on external audits and can relate to experiences in the delivery of training.
  • Good technical knowledge of the ISAs and audit skills training ability.
