Role OverviewAs an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in supervising audit engagements. With clear progression opportunities to Supervisory Audit Senior, this role offers significant career growth and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the audit manager and lead audits independently on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for audits from planning to completion across a range of owner-managed businesses, from small to large companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Planning, executing, and finalising audits, identifying key risk areas, and ensuring audit objectives are met
  • Participate in meetings with clients throughout all stages of the audit process, escalating, reporting back when needed to the Manager / RI
  • Supervising, mentoring, and coaching junior team members to develop their technical abilities, soft skills, and client interaction
  • Managing and improving audit processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in leading audits, with the ability to make decisions
  • Sound understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards
  • Experience in identifying and assessing risks, implementing effective controls, and maintaining audit quality
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring audit teams, enhancing both their technical and soft skills
