Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Audit Senior to join our Global Internal Auditing team in Manchester. As an Audit senior, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent and objective assurance to enhance our company's operations, guided by the philosophy of adding value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in individual audit assignments from planning to the issuance of audit reports.
  • Conduct financial and operational audits to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls in alignment with company audit strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of internal auditing standards and methodology based on robust risk assessment techniques.
  • Foster company-wide compliance with internal and external regulations, promoting the use of best practice business processes and internal controls.
  • Responsible for specific areas of an assignment from initial interview through to issue identification and agreed action plan.

Qualifications and required experience

  • Bachelor's / Master's in business administration, finance, economics, related field and / or a professional auditing / accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIA, CIMA, CMIIA.
  • Broad experience in auditing or combination of auditing and controlling.
  • Solid experience in either internal or external audit or in controlling in an international environment with proven adaptability to different cultures.
  • Experience in the understanding and ability to effectively communicate financial and operational results, as well as a good understanding of risk management techniques.
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks within business processes and the operation of key business processes.
  • Fluent in English, the company language, with excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly, sometimes at short notice.

Site Details

The role is based in our Syngenta Manchester office, Didsbury, Manchester. This is a hybrid contract, with a minimum 2 days per week to be worked in the office, with remote working available for the remainder of the week (for the first few months, there will be a requirement to spend additional days per week onsite as part of your onboarding), however there will be instances where more time in the office is required. The site is a local hub for worldwide operations, ensuring growers, globally, have access to the right product at the right time.
